The Gun that Shaped a Great Nation

Our country was built on the backs and the vision of our forefathers as well as by the barrel of a gun. This gun is the flintlock rifle. It was wildly use during colonial America. This type of rifle allowed shooters to fire their guns cheaply and with great frequency. They are also the best looking guns for me.

The flintlock rifle was a hi-tech weapon during its time. In fact, it was the second most hi tech device of that time next only to the pendulum clock. It conquered the Native Americans with ease. The technology of the flintlock lasted about 300 years until it was replaced by the percussion-cap lock. Without the flintlock our forefathers may not have succeeded in colonizing America.
