In the movies or in news clips, we see how some men carry their guns bare. They skip the holster and prefer to stick the machine around the waist stuck between the waistband of the pants and bare skin. I don’t know anything about guns but this looks like an unsafe way to carry a gun around. I have always thought that guns were supposed to be kept in a holster for safety. The kind of holster used depended on the size and design of the gun.
Pocket holsters are used for small weapons. They can fit in the front, trouser or jacket pocket. The ideal pocket holster should be able to provide a safe means to carry the weapon in the pocket. It should also conceal the weapon while keeping it readily accessible. The pocket holster should be wide enough to keep the weapon in an upright, accessible position within the pocket.
