I have a lot of movies that I consider my favorites, among them are “300″ and “Troy”. I love both those movies; they are based on historical events that happened in Greece. Ever since I studied World History, I have been fascinated with Greece. In both movies I enjoy watching the sword fights. I loved watching how Brad Pitt who played Achilles escaped death by using his sword shield against Hector.

In the movie Troy, Achilles and Hector were considered the greatest fighters. They fought each other individually and Achilles killed Hector. Achilles was a better fighter; he used his sword shield skillfully to protect himself against Hector’s attacks. In the end however, even Achilles died, he would prove himself a mortal. Troy and his warriors, the Trojans defeated and Greece was later on united.

In our city there are so many different neighborhoods. Some of them are even referred to as ethnic neighborhoods. We have a Chinatown, a Korea town and an Arab neighborhood. I have been to both Chinatown and Korea town. I have eaten in their restaurants over and over again. In the Arab district however, I have seen a few restaurants and some stores advertising discount hookahs in their windows.

I wondered into one of these shops the other week. The store selling discount hookahs was small and dark. A friendly Arab man welcomed me and he showed me all the different hookahs on sale. The hookah was a water pipe that looked like a vase with lots of arms. Arab men smoked tobacco through these pipes using water as filter. Since I did not smoke at all, I just thanked him for his time and went on my way.

Having a job as a bodyguard, my job could go as far as taking a bullet for my client. I have thought about this job several times before taking it. I have been doing it for five years now. Honestly, they cannot pay me enough money to jump in front of a speeding bullet. Who do they think I am, Superman? I just do my job and hopefully my team and I won’t have to pull our guns from our shoulder holsters.

I guess this is why I love watching action movies and looks forward to the gun fights scenes. I especially like it when the lead characters get ready for a fight. They choose their guns carefully and clean them carefully. They then strap on the shoulder holsters and leg holsters. The lead actors then pack a gazillion bullets enough to kill a whole army and their families.

A slot car is a powered miniature auto or other vehicle which is guided by a groove or slot in the track on which it runs. A pin or blade extends from the bottom of the car into the slot. Slot cars are usually models of actual automobiles, although some have bodies designed for miniature racing. No wonder Thunderjet slot cars are still among the favorites of adult collectors, runners and racers today. They are easy to work on, chassis parts and track are still available, and they have more realistic racing speeds than the newer HO slotcars

I’m a sports fanatic. My collection of Air Jordans dates back to 1987. My room is also filled with posters of my favorite sports stars and cars. I also have three sports tin signs. I love my tin signs because it has the cool vintage look. They don’t make tin signs like they used to anymore.

My favorite tin sign is one of the Wrigley Field arrow sign. It’s in a shape of an arrow with a Chicago Cubs logo. I also saw the same tin sign in a sports bar near my office. I don’t think a sports bar will be complete without any sports tin signs. It gives attitude to any place. Someday when I have my own bar, I’ll fill up a wall with sports tin signs.

The story of the origins of Charlie Brown is an interesting one. Created by Charles Monroe Schulz, the Charlie Brown character symbolized his own feelings of self doubt. He is revered globally but more so in his hometown in Santa Rosa in North California. A sculpt bust of the author stands in some public places. But more prominent is a large cement bust of Charlie Brown himself in front of Santa Rosa’s small airport.

Charlie Brown continues to be loved by children everywhere. A Charlie Brown playset will never be missing from shelves of toy stores. Diecast collectors are taking the hobby seriously. The even band together and meet regularly. The purpose is to inform fellow collectors about upcoming releases, help other collectors find a particular diecast model and provide a venue to answer questions related to the hobby. In this way, they promote diecast collecting in a positive way.

If I were in search of an oldsmobile diecast, I would come to a club meeting and talk to other enthusiasts. Buying or trading can take place right there. It is a venue for acquiring sought after pieces and for disposing of unneeded diecast items. These club meetings are great venues for introducing a newbie into the circle. It provides a fun and educational setting for a diecast fanatic.
