All-American Car

One of the industries in the United States which have been painfully suffering is the automobile industry. With various countries offering value for money vehicles or sleek designs, the typical individual have long considered various options from different countries. Aside from Japan’s Toyota and Honda and Germany’s, more and more people opt to purchase those coming from China and even Korea. Everyone’s making a run for their business back in the United States.

Those Dodge models are sure to be on the perils of a bad situation waiting to happen. But the US government has promoted and even financed a “Buy American” campaign in order to help these companies get right back on track. Pushing plans and getting ahead of the rest matters in terms of making their designs eco-friendly or providing options for a compact car to remain competitive. Changing tastes and competition have long been affecting these automobile brands, but there’s nothing like the massive and spacious all-American car in one’s driveway.

Medieval Collection

Collectibles come in all shapes and sizes, varying from the simple to the outrageous. As kids, we used to collect coins, stamps and even stationery. But my recent collection has been medieval water globes.

Water globes have always caught my fancy, having been given one by my father from one of his trips abroad. I was always attracted to the shaking of these globes, often attracted by the trinkets inside. My recent trips also allowed me to collect these things. From a dragon water globe, to castles of sorts, they are a wonderful accent to my living room wall mount. My medieval collection takes me to a time of castles and kings.

Seeing the Beauty In Simple Things

I just read a book on positive thinking. It’s a beautiful book. It highlights seeing the beauty in simple things. In the book, the examples were seeing the cuteness in a baby’s smile, or seeing a dragonfly land on a plant. I had reflected on this and thought to myself that I should have at least one such beauty thought a day in my mind.

It’s such a pleasure to see beauty in simple things. When I see a nice pattern on my bed sheet, it now makes me smile. I even smile at my son’s posters, when I see MLB logos, how colourful and bright some can get. It’s a relaxing, therapeutic feeling. I recommend it to everyone. It is a simple and free way to lift up our spirits.

Out In the Wild

Works and creations of country artists truly reflect the rustic culture of the country. Realistic reproductions of wildlife are a fitting choice for those wanting that natural animal without having to shed any blood. These decorations can be a topic of conversation from household guests who may find these creations a tad bit too realistic.

Collections of realistic wildlife figurines are a good way to keep up with that wild and country feel in any home. These affordable crafts make for great accent to any home – a good addition to any collection. These collectibles could definitely bring you out in the wild.

Sharp Collection

Collecting knives have been a passion of mine. Call me crazy, but I am seriously enamored with these sharp silver cutting tools. My unique collection is actually functional as well as handy and useful on everyday life.

My collection includes bayonets and swords from all over the world. Swiss knives in different shapes and sizes. Automatic knives which I also use during camping adventures with the family. These automatic ones are extremely fun to own, as it spring kicks in with just one push. Top notch knives make for a sharp and interesting collection.

Vintage Toys

Antique toys are items that are used primarily for recreation that was made in a different era than the current one. There are different types of antique toys, the most common of which are often considered collectibles. An antique pedal car is a pedal car that is either a true antique or one that comes in an antique design or style. An example would be the 1934 Classic Hot Rod pedal car. This pedal car is not an antique in the real sense of the word but has an antique style.

It is made from all steel construction with a lead-free powder coat. It features a metal chrome steering wheel and grille with 9 inch steel wheels and solid rubber tires. It also comes with custom graphics and adjustable two-position pedals. The 1955 Classic Chevy pedal car is another example of an “antique” pedal car. It also features all steel construction with baked on enamel paint. It has a chrome windshield, steering wheel and hubcaps with a brown padded seat and solid rubber tires.

Double Bladed Weapon

A broadsword is a type of sword designed for slashing and cutting, rather than thrusting. This sword has been used in warfare for hundreds of years. As a weapon, medieval broadswords require a great deal of strength because the blade is extremely heavy and is typically wielded in a two-handed grip. There are several characteristics that distinguish a broadsword from other types of swords. The blade of a broadsword is flattened, rather than made in an evenly rounded shape, as most modern fencing swords are.

Typically, one or more grooves are made in the flattened sides of the broadsword’s blade, to wick blood away from the cutting edges. A broadsword is also designed to be double-bladed, and narrows to a point which can be used to stab or thrust. The construction of a broadsword is intentionally heavy, since it is intended to hack through armor and bone. The weight of this heavy blade helps to drive the sword into a cutting blow when handled by an experienced and strong combatant.

Medieval Sword – An Emblem of Valor

When we talk about middle ages, one can imagine the intricate decorations inside a palace, the knight in the shining armor heavily armed with Medieval sword. Just like what we see in the movies, these are powerful iron swords which symbolize gallantry, chivalry, valor, and heroism when used in the battlefield. It is imperative for a Medieval Knight to have skills in using medieval weapons including swords.

A Knight will be trained at age 7 to 14 as a Page, then at age 14 to 21 as Squire. The formal entry of a Knight in Knighthood is at age 21, the time he had learned how to fight and already skillful at using the sword as the primary weapon and prepared to serve their Lord based on their Code of Chivalry. The days of knights, swords, horses, kings, and queens are already gone. But the hang of Medieval Ages still lingers.

Proud & Protected

Tire covers slip over wheels to shield them from weather and harmful ultraviolet rays that can prematurely age rubber. If you are an LSU Tigers fan, you can dress up your spare tire cover with LSU Tigers tire covers with the new logo that will fit spare tires up to 37″. This tire cover will definitely express your support for your school and team. Tire covers are more often used to protect the rear-mounted spare tire of a vehicle which is highly at risk of early destruction by sun and lack of use.

Spare tire covers can either be vinyl or metal, and are designed specifically for rear-mounted wheels. Since these tire protectors are used 24/7, they are often made with a logo or custom design to add some color and style. Spare tire covers made of metal usually incorporate some type of locking mechanism to discourage theft. Standard tire covers are usually available from auto parts retailers while custom tire covers can be ordered online through the Internet.

Quality never goes out of Style

The Aurora Corporation is one of the finest manufacturers of slot cars in the United States. Of their many models, one of the best was the Thunderjet 500 model. The Thunderjet, more popularly known as the T-Jet, was first produced in 1963 and ran until 1972. It was particularly known as being easy to service because of its simple gearing and easily replaceable parts. Of particular note is that its motor sat upright from its chassis. Even today, the T-Jet remains a popular model choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Slot Car racing is one of the most enjoyed hobbies in the United States. First introduced in 1912, it has developed into one of the most enduring hobbies still being enjoyed by aficionados and collectors to this day. Slot cars are usually patterned after actual automobiles – a factor that adds to their collectability. These commercially purchased slot cars are then modified by the owner to add more speed, control and style. While slot cars are sometimes used to simulate traffic in some city models, the industry thrives because of slot car racing.
