Evel Knievel stunt cycle

Evel Knievel may have retired but he is still the uncontested daredevil hero. It seemed that there was no stunt that he will not do. He may have had his share of failures but he always got back on his feet to face the next stunt challenge. He is an inspiration to young boys who may not have been born when he was doing all his stunts. They are now content to play with Evel Knievel figures and the famous Evel Knievel stunt cycle.

Ideal Toys is the major manufacturer of Evel Knievel toys including the very popular Stunt Cycle. Before the Stunt Cycle came the action figures. These were 6 inch figures made of plastic except for the head which was made of vinyl. The figures were dressed in the trademark American flag-adorned white jumpsuit and white shoes. The figures became a big hit. So did the stunt vehicles that were powered by a hand-cranked launcher that got the engine going.
