slot car track

Slot cars are miniature model cars that gained popularity in the 1960s although the original ones were invented back in 1912. Similar to model trains, these cars use a slot car track with shallow channels or grooves. These guide the vehicles through the twists, turns and straight sections.

The grooves are lined with two metal rails that are separated and set into the track producing the slot between them. A slot car set usually includes all the needed parts to start racing out of the box. You can purchase additional track pieces, controllers, and other accessories to make your game more exciting.
