Hominid fossils

When I was studying in a Catholic school, the theory of creation was not discussed or debated. I read about man evolving from the apes much later on in Time magazine. Hominid refers to anyone and anything in the ancestral evolution of humans. Ever since this theory was made public, experts have strived to find proof by studying fossils. Hominid fossils found in museums are often in different shapes and sizes. They are meant to tell the tale of how we evolved from primates to well humans. Although, most people would agree with me that if anyone had any doubts where we came from all he or she needs to do is watch a high strung sport live like football, boxing, hockey, wrestling, basketball and see if those die-hard fans and hooligans don’t remind you of where we came from.

It’s actually quite frightening to look at hominid fossils. They scare me a bit because some of them actually look more like animal skulls rather than human skulls. Sometimes I can’t decide whether those skulls look like Darth Vader than ape. But kidding aside, it is quite amazing and interesting to see how the experts piece together parts and test them for authenticity before concluding that those were indeed primates’ parts. I personally never tire of visiting history museums, there are so much more fascinating than animated films any given day.
