The Latest MPC Model Kit

MPC stands for Model Products Corporation. It is a subsidiary of General Mills and it manufactures promotional model cars, rockets, trains including the Lionel brand trains. Lionel trains, produced from 1901 to 1969, drew admiration from model railroaders around the world for the solidity of their construction and the authenticity of their detail. Model cars and trains were originally sold as playthings. Now, they are being built from kits and older versions are being collected.

The model car kit craze started with wooden model cars. Major manufacturers such as AMT, Revell, Monogram and Tamiya have created models in plastic, die cast metal and resin. The MPC model kit has been manufacturing little vehicles with incredible levels of detail even in internal parts that are not even seen when the model is in display. One of its latest products is the Zinger Super Volks released in March 2010. It features many chrome details and yet are easy to assemble and looks incredible when finished.
