Chess is a very interesting game. It enhances the players’ analytical skills. This is played on a board with 64 squares and 16-piece chess set. Pieces of this set can be made of wood, plastic or other materials like ebony, bone or ivory. At present, they can be available in glass or metal.

A chess set consists of the following:~1 king – most important piece threatened with capture~2 queens – can move in any direction therefore the most powerful piece ~2 rooks – specialized double movement with the king~2 bishops – one stands between the king and his knight and the other one between the queen and her knight~2 knights – represented by a horse’ head symbolizing armored cavalry~8 pawns – numerous and weakest piece representing infantry
