Jake Delhomme is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He was born in Louisiana in 1975 to Cajun parents. Jake played both quarterback and defensive back for Teurlings Catholic and made the all-state team in high school as a defense man.

Delhomme became popular as a pitch man for a Cajun fast food restaurant where he is often shown as a fried-chicken addict. He has also appeared in other commercials and public service announcements. Delhomme is known to lick his fingers before every play and of sticking his tongue out as part of his focus. Fans have been seen wearing Jake Delhomme shirts to show their support for their idol during playoffs.
