Ancient Japan was the land of the mightiest warriors known in Asia, and with them come the most famous weapons. Among them were the samurai and ninja swords. Of the two, the ninja sword is termed as that of an inferior quality, but the ninja sword also had its own uses.

The ninja sword is smaller than the samurai sword and is not as sharp as the latter. Many say this is because the ninjas, being a guerilla group, did not have the resources that samurai sword makers had. The scabbard of the ninja sword was made longer than the actual sword, thus allowing the ninja to conceal a shorter weapon or a poison inside.
